How much detail?

Once you start, this is locked in for the position. The three levels store the score differently, so switching after you've begun would strand what's already recorded.

Every point (recommended)

Every point is logged, with an optional note on how it ended: ace, winner, unforced error, and so on. This is what makes the live scoreboard worth following. Parents and teammates watching from home see the score update point by point, with the current game score and who's serving, not just the set score. It also powers the point log, undo and redo, and lets a single disputed point be corrected after the match instead of just the final score.

Games only

One tap for whichever side wins each game, and sets close out on their own. Faster to chart, but the live scoreboard only updates between games: no current game score, no serving indicator, nothing to watch unfold within a game. There's no point log either, so after the match only the final set scores can be corrected, not an individual point.

Set scores

Enter each set's score once it's over. The live scoreboard shows nothing until a whole set finishes, and there's no game by game or point by point detail at all. Useful for a court nobody could staff in real time, or for recording a result after the fact.
